Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The security light is flashing and it won't crank. I've
unhooked the battery for 12 hours, turned on the key for 30
min, rubbed both posts together for 2 min (I know). The
security light keeps flashing still. Can anyone help me  ????

Yes, but it turns over. The fuel pump doesn't click on like you'd normally hear, replaced the fuel pump. Still the same thing. I have 2 sets of keys and it does it with both.

Also, check the wiring on the steering column. Because I had one w/similar symptoms. One wire in the wire loom broke because of the tilt steering. Just might be the culprit.

I just fixed that problem by changing the negative battery post and cleaning the positive post and changing the bolts that hold the posts onto the battery. The 2nd ground wire that attaches to the engine (not the one near the headlights) was loose and causing the computer to malfunction apparently. That took me three weeks to figure out but now I'm back on the road!
