My car got a little wet and it turns over but its not firing.its a 2009Toyota corolla .I changed the plugs.And blew out about a gallon. Of water out my pistons.I need help plz

You probably got the computer wet. Did you soak the inside of the car also? My buddy dunked his old Nissan pick-up. Had to buy a new computer. Never ran the same. Traded it in for a Toyota 4 runner.

It came in the bottom from the plugs in the floor.didn't really get up just covered floor mat.

Who knows what may have shorted out due to the water. Check all of the fuses and then start testing your relays. You may have shorted out your fuel pump relay.

That would still be very high humidity in the cabin, and the ECU is in the cabin up under dash. Reelin68 is right on, lot's of unknowns. If water level it got as high as the floorboards it could have entered intake from end of intake duct. A GALLON out of spark plug holes? WOW, the entire displacement of the engine, the cylinders are less than a half gallon on a 1.8L even the 2.4L just a tiny bit over a half gallon. Maybe it just seemed like that much...all the space in ALL the cylinders would not hold a gallon ...Test your coils, all of them and cam and crank pos sensors

That coil-on-plug engine has a hot wire to every coils always hot and the ECU fires the coil by completing the circuit by grounding them

Thanks everyone looks as though 4days of drying did the trick..well I gave my car a much needed tune up anyway.it smoke for a couple of mins water came out the exhaust again about a gallon.but now after a oil change its running like a champ.that god I didn't do what the frost guy said do and scrap it.lol thanks again till next time.

She has been a great car. I haven't had to replace nothing but brakes and tires.she has 170,000,000 miles and still running like a champ if I can keep her out the water .lol I probably need a serpentine belt its past time that's my next project.I don't have any clue on that one.

On how to change the belt? You can have it done for $100 or buy the $80 belt and bust your knuckles. It takes maybe 15 minutes tops if you have done it before. First time an hour
