My 73 cutlass 350 (5.7) rocket overheats and pushes coolant out the tank and I noticed it only has one belt is that my problem

do not overheat that engine- you have a cool car- if you don't see anything NOT being driven by a belt, then your car might have only one belt- the water pump is on the front of the engine, right by the main crank pulley- the two pulleys on the front of the engine- are they connected? If you are not sure, give a mechanic a few bucks to check it- that car is worth it-
