I bought a 2001 chevy cavalier and it was running well. Yesterday, while driving, it just quit running, twice...no warnings...started right back up again. Any ideas on this?

Stalled when you slowed to a stop? If so possibly dirty/faulty idle air control valve or dirty throttle plate.

Thank you, dandyoun. Yes, I was slowing for turns (once in a parking lot) and another in a park. Is that a big job?

Not on most vehicles. Just two screws hold yours (IAC) in place. And yours is fairly cheap compared to others. Might try cleaning it and the throttle plate. Sometimes that's all that is needed.

Thanks again, dandyoun. I will mention it when I take it to the mechanic on Monday.....
