Erratic acceleration

it has erratic acceleration. Stops speed up and slow down
at times. And running is pulled. It works more or less well
for a little while and then starts with that problem in a few
minutes. Especially in the afternoons when I get off work.

scan for codes even if the light ain't on , Look for vacuum leaks ie. broken/loose hoses , you could spray some carb. cleaner down the throttle if it's possible .
