03 chevy express 2500 4.8 Instrument cluster acting erratically

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

About a week ago my van started kind of hard, not like normal. Then the ABS light came on and has stayed on. Then it just wouldn’t start at all and we figured that the fuel pump went out so I changed it (we checked fuses and relays first) it runs fine now. But know my gauges and idiot lights will all at once just go dead like when you turn the key on. The other thing I noticed is when accelerating the speedo goes up 5 miles at a time (not smooth)it jumps 30 to 35 to 40. One note on the install of the pump I plugged my harness in to the pump but the pump didn’t work (nor did the fuel gauge) then I realized it had an adapter that changed the wires around then both worked.  Would that cause damage the logic board on the cluster? This was a Carter pump if that matters or helps.
