How do you fix a loud vibration noise on a hood?

When you stop at a light it makes a loud embarrassing noise like a vibration
and idles too slow.

Turn the bump stops up to make a tight fit. 2 roundish rubber stops on each side of hood in front. Grease all moving parts of the locking mechanism. Any check engine lights?
