Noise I hear inside the car while car is in motion

Asked by Chevygirl Feb 06, 2007 at 12:35 PM about the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I hear a noise like something is loose on the inside of my car while I am driving.  But you cannot hear the noise outside the car when the car is pulling away.  I have had my brakes done last year but am not sure what this noise is.  I have 46,000 miles on my car.

Hi Chevygirl, I am going to refer you to autozone site. There are so many different reasons for a noise and it will be much easier for you to diagnose the problem yourself since you know exactly what is sounds like. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?UseCase=S001&UserAction=viewSimpleDiagTypeInfo&Parameters=Sounds+Like|~4

I have a 1997 Chevy Cavalier and I have always had a weird sound near my bake wheels. It never got any worse or better over the 10 years I have had the car. I think it may be struts going out gradually because it recently started in my front wheels, especially during winter. It never really worried me since I dont mind feeling the road when I drive! BTW I am not a mechanic... I just happen to hear a sound like youre asking about lol
