water behind passenger seat, where from?

When it rains and the car is sitting outsde I don't find any water but when I drive in the
rain a spot will show up behind the passenger seat where its very damp, where is it from?

a hole in the floor board that cause the carpet to soak up water that is splashed up from the tires

an 87 jetta? take out all your carpets and check for rotting. fix any rust now while you can.

iv had same problem, cz i thought water was getting in from the fan (for the heater matrix) but i came frm the rubber door seal, so i dug abit deeper just to find it was running down the passager door (off the glass, into the in side of the door) , an coming out of the doorcard onto the seal. so front an back where wet,. cz theres lil holein the metal wrk where ur passager seat is bolted in at the front, thats how it gets to the back.
