What is causing my 1970 Volkswagen Beetle to shot down?

Yes I want to know what is causing
my 1970 to shop down every time I
make a stop . Car runs good but
every time I make a stop  car dies
down . I start it and starts fine and
continue and then the same story
when I make a stop. I changed
carburator and problem still
continues. Any help greatly
appreciated.

Check air filter and i see you just replaced carburetor but spray carburetor cleaner into carb the whole can because it not only cleans the carb but also cleans the gum and carbon build and it also cleans the intake and exhaust valves in the cylinder. Replace fuel filter if have not done so in a while and add carb cleaner to gas tank.
