where is the overdrive located

if u mean the O/D button it should be on your shifter

There is no switch. Volkswagens dont have one, they just have a 4 or 5 speed automatic transmission depending on your year/engine, but the only way to turn of the "overdrive" is to put the shifter in 4/3 depending on your tranny.
