2000 VW Passat

I am about to look at a 2000 or 2001 Passat with 101,000
miles and I would like to know what are some things I
should lookout for and or ask for these cars , so that I don't
get sold a lemon....Thanks

Buy a cheap OBD 2 scanner. You can get them a Walmart now. Plug the scanner into the OBD Port ( which is located under the steering column) the scanner will tell you any fault codes.

Check the back brakes,for some reason this year (2000,2001) go threw rear pads quick. So ask if he or she replaced the rear calipers
