Pin found in oil

Found pin in oil change see pic what is it?

Try posting your pic on a Porsche-specific forum, an engine builder there may recognize the part. There are several places where a pin may be used in any engine - timing chain, rockers or valve train, oil pump... may want to remove the valve covers and look everything over, pull a rocker or cam follower and see if you find a similar pin. Obviously don't run the engine until you know exactly what and where this came from.
