Yup, at the heart of the system is a big round thingy with some wiring attached to it. It goes round and round when the motor is running via a belt thingamajig driven by a round pulley at the bottom of the engine. All those goodies are routed electrically through the battery (big square thingy with heavy wiring attached to it). If you have a question please ask it....
