95 dodge 1500 engine from 2 wheel drive into 4x4?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

May be a dumb one but i have a 2 wheel drive 1500
that needs a new wiring harness if i buy a 4x4
same year thats had tranny rebuilt "less than a year
ago" but is burning oil can i swap the engines out
between the two?

Same year then yes 1994-2003 for a 5.2L and 5.9L V8
