Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I turn the key and my 2005 ram will not crank. None of the dash gauges will turn on. I replaced the battery and checked all the fuses. ?

with the key in the off position, press and hold your trip reset button, turn the key to on while holding the button. this will initiate the dash unit to do a self check to be sure the system is operating correctly, if this doesnt work you prolly need a new computer

2005 ram 1500. My 2 left side gauges suddenly quit working. The charge gauge works for a few seconds after the ignition is turned on the drops back to zero. Fuel gauge is always at zero. No fuses are burned out that I can see, but does seem to be electrical. any idea what the exact broken part is?
