Takes a long time to fill my 06 ram 1500 4x4 sport

Long time to fill , have had my machanic change the canister & valve next to it
he changed the tank & fuel pump, he found a melted peace o 1/4” hard
plastic up next to the exhaust ,replaced it,I’ve pulled the line off the filler neck
no change,please help am taking 3000 mi. Trailer trip in 1 week. Been fighting
this for 3 months. Truck only he’s 88000 mi.
