how do i fix my gas pedal

I was driving my car and stopped at a pizza hut......then went to pull off after getting my food and my gas pedal
went to the floor without any power to the car. Pedal did not return to original position......just is laying on the floor

The '95 century is not "drive by wire" it has mechanical linkage. Must have come off or broken. I'll see if I can find a pic

One end of the cable is on the pedal or a bar moved by the pedal. The other end is on a plastic cam attached to the throttle body. Open the hood and see if the cable is still attached. It may have come loose if it didn't break.
