My 1999 Riviera goes in reverse but not forward

I am sure you have checked your fluid levels. In as much that reverse is the trans strongest gear and the vehicle moves..When you engage the trans in drive 1-2-3 and there are no results...my suspension is that the transmission has failed. Good Luck SEMPER FI
