My service engine soon light just came on as I was pulling into work parking lot. It hesitated a bit when I accelerated. What could it be?

You will need to pull the codes from the computer system. That is the only way you will know which system or component is triggering the light. Must Auto Zone or Advance Auto parts will pull the codes for free.

I want to share that I did some more reading and realized I stopped and got gas this morning - and I was in a rush- I didn't have the gas cap tightened properly. So, I went to my car and removed it a placed it back in and listened for clicks- drove it around my work parking lot....and the service engine light disappeared. Thank GOD!!
