I dont understand your question but im guessing you are having trouble reading the codes from your car i would check your fuses first. if you don't find anything you will have to get someone to check the communication lines for the ecu.

Car serviced one week ago. Engine light came on today and stayed on. Noticed battery gage charging above 14?

The light and charging voltage could be related and they also might not be you need to have the codes checked first.
