Question type: General

Went to Auto Zone and they put the machine on it and it said my Fuel Purge
needs replacing does that make my key remote not work?

It's very unlikely the fuel purge has anything to do with your remote. Just a coincidence. If your second remote works okay, then the first remote needs batteries. If both remotes don't work, then it's something in the car's remote function gone bad.

If you check engine light is on that means it set a hard code and yours has to do with emissions it will not remote start. I have the same year and model and will not remote start under those conditions. If the check engine simble is on it will not start. You can try to turn it off, and if it stays off it will remote start. But may come back in time. If the condition is not corrected.
