will a bench seat from a 1988 ford f-150 fit into a 1992 f-150? if so is gonna be a unbolt and swap or do some fab work?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 92 f150 and the seat is pretty well shot and ive been looking for a
replacement and a guy has a bench seat for a 88 f150 that he is willing to
part with. im wondering if its a simple un bolt the old seat and pitch it and
replace it with the new one and will the bolts all line up and work fine or will
i need new rails and assembly or just drill some holes and make it fit kinda
deal.

LMC Trucks offers a FREE catalog Edition FD.44 for Ford trucks,1/2, 3/4 Ton and Ford Broncos for years 1980 to 1996. I use this as a example. You can use these kinds of catalogs to cross reference most parts. You can also cross reference most parts or find their compatibility on most auto part store websites.
