When you say fire to the coil - is this primary voltage to the coil or secondary voltage out of the coil? If you have primary voltage, but no seconday, ohm your coil - it may be bad. If you have secondary voltage out of the coil - ohm your coil wire to see if your wire has an open. If its good, check your cap.
