I have a 1994 ford f150 straight 6 4.9 liter I believe. we are getting no fire to coil. we have replaced coil, ignition mod, new plugs checked the rotor looks fine plugs are not fouled. my son was driving and the truck lost all power and there is a burned wire smell in the cab strongest under dash drivers side no fuses are blown and cannot find any burned wires can anyone help with my next step??

burnt wire smell in the cab have checked fire to coil its not getting any.   changed ignition module still no fire  changed coil and plugs still nothing no fuses are blown that we can see cant locate anything that looks burnt or melted im stumped

Did you check the in line fuse main,running to starter,

No I haven't yet truck turns over starter is rolling but I will check it not ruling anything out at this point

Truck ran real good up until this point I don't have much experience with the electrical side of it so im struggling a little.

The burnt smell lead,s me to believe it may be what i suggested.it,s on the passenger side to.

would the starter still turn with that fuse blown??

yes,just would not send fire to coils and other things like fuel pump etc.

should be on the wire from positive side of battery to starter correct?
