you might need a new fuel pump... is it efi or carburated ?
im assuming its efi. i had a similar problem in my 2000 silverado. i swapped out the fuel pump and filter and it was as good as new. if the pump doesnt have enough pressure the truck wont start...

got two new tanks on it side works fine but when i switch to back it takes about twenty minutes then truck shakes acts like not getting gas but if u catch it before it dies and switch to side tank it ...

Why can't I put more gas in after the 3/4 mark on my gas gauge it shuts off and will not allow me to put more in and acts like it's full but it's only got three quarters of a tank
