Trouble starting F150...NEED ADVICE/HELP! :P

I have an '87 F150 Str8 6 engine, & it has trouble starting after letting it sit after 10min. It starts right back up the minute u shut it off, or when it sits for a day..So far, I've given it a tune up, new fuel filter, and even paid Tuffy's to find the problem which they "found" what was wrong (throttle body gasket) and didn't even fix the problem..

It runs fine. after it's started; it has died on me a couple times when I would go in drive and reverse or park too quickly.. I think it's the fuel injectors, but someone told me they don't think that's what the problem is. He mentioned coils, but he wasn't sure if that year had that, and mentioned i think a carburator, (i forgot the name, so i believe that's what he said), so I just need another opinion on it before I spend more money on parts that don't need to be changed. Anyone know or even had the same problem or might know exactly what's going on?? PLEASE! and thank you!

check your fuel pressure and possibly replace the fuel filter it may be partially blocked also check the dist cap for arching or a burt dist rotor!!

check the o2 sensor.. i got a 97 jeep and it did the same thing starts right up drive it to town cut it off and want start back up till it cools down mine was the o2 sensor changed it out and fixed it right up

Did you retrieve any codes from the EEC, this can be done with a purchased tester or can be read this way: http://www.fordfuelinjection.com/?p=13 it will tell you how to get codes without a tester. But It sounds like a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) or Fuel pressure regulator to me. The 1987 I6 is an EFI motor and dosn't have a Carburetor and Im not sure where the Ignition coil is on the I6 (all my trucks are V8's) but if you follow the wire from the very center of the distributer it will go to the coil, The coil can be tested (by measuring resistance) I don't remember what it is to be but, if the truck is running at all I doubt that is your issue.
