Were some dashes on the 60 padded and some not padded?? Was that an option?

Hello, I believe that the padded dash was indeed a factory option on the 1960 Impala. It remains a selling point to this day. Best of luck! CarGrrl

As a follow-up to this question, my padded dash has a couple of hair-line cracks. Nothing too serious though. I know these can be repaired pretty easily, but can the padded dash be re-painted? It has faded and does not match the paint on the metal portion. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!
