Where do you fill transmission fluid

if its an automatic, pour it down the hole where you take the dipstick out of, if its a standard thier should be a plug somwheres on the side of the transmission that the gear oil should be filled up to the bottom of the hole. make sure the car is running when you check the fluid, if its an auto, and to put only the correct type/level of fluid in.
