94 corolla overheating

94 corolla keeps overheating, or almost. the temp. gauge almost gets to the top. we changed the thermostat. it worked for a couple of days but still got hot. what could it be?

run the engine with the radiator cap off and the heater on for at least 15 minutes to make sure there are is no air traped in cooling system. make sure the radiator fans are coming on when the engine is warm. make sure that the finns in the radiator and condensor (if it has a/c) are clear and ther is proper air flow through finns

yeah makeing sure theres no air in the cooling system is a good place to start!! my day had something like that happen to his car. we changed the thermostat but it did no good. so we had to take it to the shop. it truned out the belt was on wrong. could one of your belts be on wrong? or if you have a loose belt it could be sliping to much on the water pump poley?
