Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My windshield wipers work, but the intermitent settings do not.  Could this be a fuse?  If so which one?

Hello, Yes, this is most likely a fuse problem, though could also be a loose wire in the relay. I could not find you a fuse diagram online. You should be able to find this information in your manual or by purchasing a service manual from such sites as eBay. This detailed repair may be helpful as he had the same problem with his Toyota. Your problem is not a fuse and likely requires a new motor.

if the wipers work on full setting, but not intermittently, obviously the motor isn't the problem. also, it eliminates the fuse as the problem. if it's the relay switch, it wouldn't work at all, or it would work intermitently. if you have a test lamp, you can go to the switch and test to see if electricity gets through when you set it to intermitent. if you aren't familiar with such testing, bring it to a mechanic. you should be lucky enough that its not controlled by a module, but i can't be 100% sure

i've been told by an automotive professional that it can actually be the motor at fault. so it's either the switch or the motor.
