95 chevy 1500 pick up 2wd

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Need to replace rear end in my 95 1500 single cab
long box 2wd. Have access to many rear ends.
Need to know what years and makes and models
will be an exact match to bolt right in and go.

If it looks like your truck and has 5 lug wheels then it'll bolt on. Some of the suburbans or tahoes have upgraded drum brakes. If you want to keep your gear ratio the same there are rpo codes listed in the glove box. Look for the rear end codes, some are gu6, gu4 or gt4. Also g80 means limited slip/locker. 88-98 c1500, 99 c1500 clasic, 88-99 tahoe, yukon and suburban 1500. All have to be 2wd for it to be a 5 lug. 2000 was a half year for the suv's like 99 was a half year for the trucks. Some were the same body style and some were the new body style

Ok thank you. Im not too worried about keeping the ratio the same but if i can id like to. That helps a lot if i have any other questions ill be sure to ask.
