#1 - "The car is using a lot of petrol". How far do you drive daily or weekly ? As auto's get more mileage on them, some cars go up in MPG and some go down. #2 - "The car is using a lot of oil, but it is running well with no smoke". The car will burn oil as the mileage goes up but that does not mean you will see smoke, it usually takes time (higher mileage and wear).
