1999 Honda CR-V will not start. I changed the fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator along with the fuel filter and the main relay but the vehicle still will not start. The distributor along with the coil was replaced about two months ago, spark is ok. Sometimes the vehicle start for a few second but the engine stalls as if the timming is off but the timing is ok, also sometimes it back fires and when it does the vacuum hose that is connected to the fuel pressure regulator comes off from the regulator. I check the injectors and they are getting power. I disconnected the exhaust thinking of the catalytic but still no start. Could it be the computer? Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

air filter? spark plug wires and plugs? if you did replace the plugs and wires do you have them in the correct firing order? have you checked it for codes?

No codes and the firing order is correct. The vehicle started to do this all of a sudden and it started with the stalling of the engine.

what about your egr valve, pcv valve, could be bad gas...check the compression

I think you will find it to be the sensor located below the thermost housing i had exact same problem replaced everything then found that sensor and replaced it car started first go after weeks of trying to find problem and even had honda stumped

I have similar issue. Same generation CR-V. Did you find a solution? Here's what mine does: This car is driving me bonkers! Lol. 2001 Honda CR-V with 239,000 miles. It ran and drove perfect for 6 months. Then one day started stalling while driving at low RPMs (less than 1500) around turns, curves, etc. It would restart and stay running if I gave it extra fuel pedal. It starts perfectly when cold. Idles or drives until warm and stalls within 2-5 minutes (yes I time it)...it does this at any RPM, I've tried idle to 4,500 RPMs. Will sometimes restart but will stall again within 1-2 minutes in same manner at any RPM (700 to 4,500). Will not restart after 2nd to 3rd start. It sometimes won't restart at all until it cools down for several hours or a day. No weird noises. No error computer codes. I've replaced the cap, rotor and coil. I've checked the plugs, wires and ignition control module, and compression, and cleaned throttle body. Inspected timing belt and valves. Confirmed fuel injector pulse. Fuel injection main relay looks and tests good. It seems to have gotten worse as I've been trouble shooting it. At first it used to restart over and over and stall shortly thereafter. Now it may not restart after first stall, but will never restart more than 2 times at most. This developed over about 4 weeks of trying to diagnose it by starting and running it. It always starts up fast and clean on first attempt, runs until warm and then stalls instantly. Like something is instantly cutting fuel or spark or both. Anyone have this happen before? I am waiting on a fuel pressure test device to see what fuel pressure is and does. Is there a way to trick the car and bypass the fuel injection main relay to verify it (the circuit board relay) doesn't have a quirky defect I can't see? It seems to be fine but the problem seems to be getting worse and has always been so fast to kill the motor that I suspect some kind of electrical problem somewhere. Thanks!
