Is there an advantage using Honda oil filters as opposed to puralator or fram?

No advantage, just use a name brand quality filter. I personally wouldn't use a Fram due to their design and construction. I do like Purolator, Wix, Motorcraft, Mobile1, Omnicraft, NAPA Gold or Honda.
