Not wanting to start

My 1988 Ford Bronco 2 4 wheel drive with a 2.9 v6
has a problem not wanting to start when I first
started up it cranks first turn but once I Drive down
the road if I shut it off it doesn't want to start until I
let it sit for an hour or so I have already changed
the starter solenoid any ideas on what it could
be????
