Did any 1969 RS Camaro's w/ 327 engine and Auto Trans carry the RS/SS Designation?

Question type: Car Customization

Hood Stacks, Retractable Headlamps, Full Interior package, Air, Gauges, Electric Window, 8 track player?
I was told it was a RS/SS, although I am not sure that it is.

without documents its not, more RS and SS out their than ever produced, called a clone,first thing everyone wants to do even with six cylinder models, serious research for any early car takes much time, weed out all the hogwash ,plenty of that for sure

RS was just a package. You would buy an SS which was a performance model. Then you could opt for the RS appearance package which added things like the hidden headlights. The VIN won't tell you anything. The only way to know is to decode the Cowl Tag. Info is at this link. http://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml Hope this helps! James 69' Camaro

Thank you Both!!!! Where as I do have a fair amount of documentation, on My Camaro That is the one point that was eluding me. It was stated by the previous owner as a RS/SS, although other Camaro owners didn't think so because of the engine size. Now I have a direction. Appreciate your help! Thxs Geri
