Where is the External Regulator on a 1970 Chevelle

Hi all,

Does anyone know where the external regulator is on a 1970 Chevelle?  The alternator is new but isn't charging when the car is turned on.  Any diagrams would be helpful too. Thanks!

Should be on the firewall or front fender near the battery. Go to www.Chiltons.com and look up "regulator replacement".
