2003 toyota highlander door latch won't close

My door will not close

Probably fixed now if not try this pull handle and at the same time with a screw driver push the latch forward and it should shut. The latch will only free itself if the handle is pulled...This method has worked for me for a 05 acrua TL and a late 90s or early 2000 chevy van. Where you try to shut the door and it bounced back which meant the latch/locking mechanism is stuck in place thinking its locked.
