Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2000 Pontiac Montana
working on to help a single mom friend.
Originally would click once when key
turned. Tried boosting, no Luck. Battery
voltage 12.9 no load, 11.6 load.

Her dad got her a starter from a wrecker
had them test it, he installed it, but couldn't
get it to work.

I've gone over wiring diagrams, all but
braided cable to starter is on one post of
solenoid.  Purple signal wire on S.

No more click when turning ignition,  just
turns off accessories and then nothing.

What else could it be?

*Update* Had a friend come and help track power through vehicle. Battery connection good power into fuse box under hood, power comes out of fuse box. But by the time the wire gets to the starter there is no power. Thinking it is possible the helpful father did not disconnect the battery before replacing the starter. Does anyone have wiring schematics with inline fuse locations?
