Check the coolant level to make sure it's full. You might have a leak somewhere. My 06 Grand Prix overheated after it lost coolant through a crack in the plastic heater hose bypass elbows, which are located on the passenger side of the engine. If you see coolant in this area, have the plastic elbows replaced with aluminum ones. I hope this fixes your problem.
Check antifeeze level and mix first, then the thermostat and, last, the water pump. You'll find it!
Have u replaced the 2 plastic elbows behind tension pulley ? That did it for me
Check for leaks. Where are leaks coming from? How long does car run before over heating? Have you recently added water or coolant?
