After my A.c. light starts to flash my car acts like my transmission won't shift any ideas?

Is it vapor-locking? Easy fix. Hook up with diagnostic and if it shows emission or ac/vapor lock -some minor adjustments might do the trick. (No expert, similar experience with several vehicles although surprising for newer model).
