safe driving message on infotainment system

Asked by Peter Jun 17, 2020 at 03:19 AM about the 2019 BMW 3 Series

Question type: General

Does anyone know how to disable the annoying "Drivers responsibility to drive
safely whilst using this system" message that always appears on the
infotainment/nav/info screen of new cars? I have a 2019 BMW330e.

I spoke with the dealer and told him that I wanted it to be disabled as it is a distraction and a safety hazard. He said he can't remove it as it has been mandated as a result of Australian Design Rules. No relief to be had there.

I have now had that message turned off. See: https://www.bimmer-tech.net/bmw-idrive-coding/
