4WD selector differences

Question type: General

Why do some trucks have a "Pull" graphic next to
the selector and others don't?

The pull graphic is for engaging the electric locking differential at the rear end or ELD. If there is no pull icon the the differential is not ELD, but it still could have traction locking differential that operates all the time or just a normal "open differential" (non locking).

Thanks Bob. I'll have to research if that is important/good to have when pulling a camper.

Well, after watching this video. I don't know if it will matter much if I have that or not for what I will use the truck for. https://youtu.be/F4YTLilFP-k
