Why does my 2016 bmw 420i xdrive luxury have two coolant bottles one big one and one smaller one.

Read your owners manual. My guess is that one is for the windshield washer.

Hi thank you for getting back to me I have done that and it only shows the one bottle the windscreen washer bottle is behind the front drivers wheel. The both bottles are filled with blue antifreeze so could the small bottle be a secondary heating maybee.
