Where is the a/c compressor cut off switch

Not the one on the dash-the one that runs off the motor.
the car is loosing power when the a/c comes on going down the road.

If i remember right there is a button that says AC in the knob for the nlower speed that when pushed cuts it on or off. Some cars use the top vents and top + floor vent selection as AC selections too. Or you could turn everything to off. Defrost also runs the AC compressor.
