Kia Spectra? That *should* be a non-serviceable hub bearing assembly, not a wheel bearing, if it's on the front. Whoever told you they can just replace the bearing was probably looking up the wrong vehicle (something that was rear-drive for example) or looking up a rear instead of a front. That price is fairly steep though, I would shop around, since a hub bearing assembly, USUALLY, is fairly straight-forward and not exceedingly difficult. They *will* need to know whether the vehicle has Anti-Lock brakes or not to price you on the correct assembly.

There is no such thing as a wheel bearing that cannot be replaced without replacing the hub, it’s just easier and requires less labor to replace the hub in most units. This is why bearing presses are an actual thing.

Some wheel bearing races are ground directly into the hub, outer flange or both, depending on the model of vehicle. No pressing involved in this case
