any ideas?

The first day i owned my EX i heard that ding all day. After reaching out to the seller ( my daughters bffs mom) she said that sometimes the sliding doors dont click shut all the way even tho they appear to be closed..... Also noticed that the doors were freezing shut after a very short time. I live in MN and have never had vehicle doors freeze like this. After a close inspection i found the rubber seals needed to be lubed up a bit to create a better seal.. Some wd- 40 was applied to all doors and hatch since thats what i had handy and that solved both the ding sound and the frozen shut doors. I will be applying a silicone based lube sooner here as i believe the wd- 40 could actually weaken the rubber if used for an extended time....
