Looking for New Car Ideas

Asked by dec412 Feb 04, 2008 at 04:59 PM about the 2002 Kia Rio

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I just totaled my car. It was a 2002 Kia Rio, I got it for free so I took it. I was T-Boned and my frame was bent past rapairablility. I am now looking for another car. We are looking to spend somewhere between $3,000-$6,000 but not on any particular make or model. I was wondering what are some good options that are safe, cheap, but not a lemon or piece of crap. Thanks so much.

Any of the 1989-1999 Jeeps with the 4.0L Inline 6 are great choices. For gas mileage and power, you can't beat a 1989-1992 Buick Century with the 3.3L V-6. Decent power and I have gotten as high as 35mpg highway with the one I used to own.
