2015 Subaru Outback is sluggish, both steering and braking

2015 Outback is sluggish, with noticeably laggy braking (moreso because it's a
V6) and the power steering doesn't feel as responsive as it used to be. Brake
fluids are topped off, and brakes passed a (brief) visual inspection by my
mechanic. Power steering is electric, so no fluids there.

I'm on the books to get it fully inspected/serviced in mid-August, since they're
booked up until then, but was wondering if anyone had any ideas what the
underlying issues might be? Thanks in advance.
